George H. Dygert has been engaged in the private practice of law in Charlottesville
serving Central Virginia since 1984. Since entering private practice in
Charlottesville, Virginia, Mr. Dygert has provided legal services to clients in the
areas of business formation and operation, real estate, litigation, contracts,
construction, estate planning, estate administration, collections, domestic relations,
and divorce.
Prior to that time, he taught business law and general business subjects, including
small business organization operation for Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia,
and the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany.
Mr. Dygert was an officer of the United States Army, serving with the United
States Corps of Engineers from 1955 until 1965 in a variety of positions supervising
general construction, including three years as a resident engineer for the
construction of Titan and Minuteman ballistic missile sites in South Dakota.
From 1968 through 1981, Mr. Dygert provided legal services to the United States
Government as a member of the United States Army Judge Advocate Generals
Corps in various capacities and locations. He worked as a supervisory lawyer,
providing legal advice and assistance in the preparation and administration of
contracts for the development of advance ballistic missile defense systems and the
construction of ballistic missile defense systems in North Dakota and Montana. He
also served as Assistant General Counsel to the Army Airforce Exchange Service in
Dallas, Texas, providing legal advice and assistance in the administration of retail
activities worldwide, construction of retail facilities, and administration of the
personnel and human resources of the organization which employed over 50,000
employees.
From 1979 through 1981, Mr. Dygert was the general counsel for the Army
Airforce Exchange Service in Europe, providing legal assistance in the
administration and operation of the exchange facilities located throughout western
Europe under the NATO Status of Forces Agreement, including supervision of
German and American attorneys responsible for coordinating the activities of the
Army Airforce Exchange Service-Europe with the various countries where facilities
were located under the Status of Forces Agreement.

Masters of Business Administration from the Darden School University of Virginia,
Charlottesville, Virginia.
Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law, Denver, Colorado
Bachelors Civil Engineering from Clarkson College of Technology, Potsdam, New
York.
Mr. Dygert is admitted to practice in the following jurisdictions: Colorado (all
